HELP RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY!
One evening on the way home from Uni, I saw an advertisement for The Brighton Marathon. Ordinarally I would turn the page and give it no further thought, (considering my general adversion to phyiscal exercise AND the body to match that statement!), but one simple thing stopped me in my tracks.
The advertisement was on the behalf of Great Ormand Street Hospital.
Before I knew it I was at home, signed up to participate and then the fear set in! "I MUST BE MAD!" well... yes I suppose I am but I can also be wickedly determined when I really want to be. I decided to see this as an oppertunity to do something fantastic for a hospital that has done so much for my family and the care of my older brother, and to also get my fitness (or more pointedly, LACK of) in check.
We need to raise £500 minimum in support of such a fantastic cause. The staff at G.O.S.H are some of the best in the world and without theamount of fundraising that people like you and I try to achieve they wouldn't be able to offer as many live saving treatments to children that desperately need it.
(( Plus, think of all of the utterly terrible pictures you get to see of me post-race. Incentive, people! ))
