Exercise keeps you young, my aim is to deliver fun low impact exerise classes to elderly people living in residential homes. Many people over the age of 65 spend over 10 waking hours a day either sitting or lying down. It's very important to exercise at any time in your life but for elderly people it's essential for there physical and mental health.
Exercising for just a couple of hours a week can signicantly improve your life and add years to it, it can reduce the risk of serious illness such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer!
What a lot of people don't realise is exercise is a miracle cure that we have always had, it can get neglected though, particulary by people living in supported living; by taking classes into the homes it will be easily accesible to the residents. The classes will be fun, active and lively!
With your help I will deliver 100 classes to 5 homes based in the North East Of England, with up to 30 particpants in each class we could be helping 150+ people! that will be Amazing.
Let's get elderly people moving more, having more fun and most of all shaking there booty!.
