I am taking part in the Rat Race - 20 miles 200 obstacles, to raise money for a Dementia Care Unit to upgrade their garden for the residents.
About the project
The Foxhall Demntia Unit at Derham House Care Home looked after my Nan before she sadly passed away in 2011. The level of care, comfort and entertainment she recieved was second to none and once you realise this isn't always the case with some care homes, you appreciate it even more.
Derham House are looking to upgrade the garden in the Foxhall Demntia Unit to make it even more enjoyable for the current residents and as they are not a charitable organisation I would love to be able to donate some money towards the good cause in gratitude of the all around care they gave to my Nan.
Therefor, I've decided to take on the world's largest obstacle course (Rat Race - Dirty Weekend) on the 9th of May to try and raise as much money as possible for Derham House. The course consists of 20miles of off road trail running with 200 obstacles in the way! I'm currently into the third week of my training schedule with 10 left!
I've set my target as £300 but any donations, big or small will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
