A  face amongst the stars (Rebecca Ginns)

We looked for you this morning,

We looked for you last night,

We looked for you everywhere,

But you were not in sight.

We looked up to the sky above,

And saw your face in the stars,

It was then we realised,

You’re not here anymore

But you’ll always be with us…

You will aways be in our heart.
Life is something all of us must borrow.

Returning it in time, to whence it come.

Goodbye doesn’t mean you’re gone

So long as we still love you,

Your memory will live on.

This poem is dedicated to Darren “Bugsy” Hewitt. On Friday February 10th 2017 Darren lost his battle with mental illness, he left behind parents Steve and Pauline and siblings Micky, Mark, Tracy and Emma. This is the second tragedy to strike this Helmington family, in 2012 they lost their beloved son and brother Andrew in Afghanistan.

As friends of his family there is no way of us taking away the immense pain they are feeling at this moment, but through this page we can show them that they do not grieve alone, that those who hold this family in their hearts, are supporting them in this most difficult time. Funds raised will be used towards giving Darren a most wonderful send off as he is reunited with his brother Andrew.
