The festive season for most is a time to exchange thoughtful gifts, indulge in nice foods and drink and most importantly spend time with loved ones. Sadly some people do not have these luxuries around Christmas or at all.
Currently I have been going every weekend doing as much as I can to help with my friends. I have been giving out warm food at this time of year and clothes and toiletries, I know Christmas can be tight as everyone wants to provide for their own families and loved ones but if you could spare anything, that would be most helpful and we can all together put a smile on someone’s face.
Anything little as a scarf, gloves, thick socks, toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, deodorant and feminine care, plus some little uplifting festive bits like mince pies and chocolate. All donations would need to be in by the earliest but before the big Christmas day as this will give us time to go and collect all the bits.
My weekly hand out is every Saturday next one will be taking place on the 3rd of December at 7pm please feel free to join me at the clock tower.
Christmas Day hand out is on Friday 23rd December we will be handing out our donation also dropping by charities and hostels. We will be purchasing the food, clothes and toiletries early morning and then in the evening around 7pm meeting at Leicester clock tower to hand out donations.
I personally will be giving a £300.00 towards this, also I have £172.00 in donations up to date.
Also if you have any spare clothes I would be more than happy to pick them up. We will also be taking some winter clothes we have got together and letting them take their pick.
Thank you so much in advance for those who have donated clothes and money, we are beyond grateful for your help. Christmas is about giving, so let’s give to those who need it most.
