Okay, so this maybe a long shot, but hey, if you don't ask you don't get right?
So I'm currently a law student at City University London and am hoping to complete an intership with Amicus after I graduate. The only problem is, is that the intership is self-funded and I can't afford to go :(
Like I said above, the intership is self-funded and from research, it looks like the typical cost for an intern in the US is around £4000 (this includes: flights, accomodation, visa applications and living expenses).
The intership in the US is three-months long and to say this would be an amazing opportuinty would be a massive understatement. For me, someone who has never doubted thier opposition to the death penalty, this internship would be life-changing! The opportunity to put the skills from studying law at university into practice and in an organisation that works tirelessly to provide representation to thos facing the death penalty would be extremly enriching.
So I gues what I am asking from you guys is if you could donate to my crowdfunding page? The amount of specific donations does not matter, I will appreciate and be extremely grateful for anything you can give. What is important is that I can hopefully (fingers crossed) reach my target!
