I'm Charlotte, a 23 year old football fan from Cornwall; which, despite its beautiful scenery, is one of the most deprived areas in Europe (source here).
I am currently in my third year at Falmouth University studying English with Creative Writing, and recently I've been offered a place to study a masters in International Sports Management at UCFB Wembley.
The course is literally every football and sporting fanatics dream. It's taught at the actual stadium...
...and three months of the course is taught at Real Madrid. As in Ronaldo/Bale/Ramos/Benzema Madrid. Just thinking about it makes me go 'wow'. I can honestly say I've never wanted something so much in my life.
However, despite my grades, application and references being strong enough to gain a place, there's just one key factor holding me back - the cost.
For the 2016/17 academic year, the government are starting a £10,000 loan to fund postgraduate courses, which is a great step towards helping those wanting to continue education after graduation. However, the fees for my course are £18,500 alone. That's without considering living costs whilst in London and Madrid. I'm asking for donations towards my tuition fees, so I can use the £10,000 loan for my living costs whilst attending the course.
I am simply a young cornish girl trying to make something of her life, in the field she loves. I do not want the fact I am from a deprived area, and am technically 'poor' holding me back from something which will, without a doubt, be life changing.
Please, if you are able to, donate and help get me to Wembley.
PS - this is an 'all or nothing' crowdfunder, meaning if I do not secure the amount needed, you will get your money back.
