Building stronger communities

Crowdfunder and Origin Housing are bringing people together to build stronger communities in North London and Hertfordshire.

Origin Housing provides housing and care services to people from all walks of life across North London and Hertfordshire. They are committed to building strong communities, and helping people to raise funds is a crucial part of that.

The fund is primarily for projects that work directly with Origin customers or communities. Whether you are looking to raise £100 for some new gardening tools, or £5,000 to start a new community library, you’re in the right place.

Origin could pledge 50% of your funding target up to £1,000 – a boost that’s sure to help you get funded. We are experimenting with different ways to support projects; each project is unique and may benefit from a boost at different points in their campaign.

Once you’re up and running, if we see that you are getting support from the crowd we may boost your campaign up by an initial 25%, we’ll then keep an eye on your campaign and once you’ve gathered more pledges we’ll donate the other 25%. We will see what works for each project – we are flexible about trying new ways to support great projects in our communities!

And, to celebrate Origin’s upcoming development projects in Harrow, we’re currently open to community projects from across the borough – even if you don’t currently work with our customers.

By crowdfunding with us not only will eligible projects get funding, but also expert advice to help you hit your target and make an impact in your community.

Let’s make great ideas happen.
