HAPPY BIRTHDAY FCS!
FCS began their journey back in 1977 in dilapidated premises in Fordingbridge, and quickly expanded gaining a fine reputation for performances from the choral repertoire which continues to this day. Encompassing trips to our twin town of Vimoutiers in Normandy, the depths of the New Forest at night during an icy February for outdoors CD recordings, and charity concerts, the society has stood the test of time.
Now with your help we would like to make 2017 a special year for us by enabling us to put on a series of concerts and at the same time support young professional singers and instrumentalists at the start of their careers by offering them the opportunity of much valued performing experience.
On December 17th this year we begin our celebration with Handel's Messiah, joined by young soloists from The Royal College of Music. This is followed in 2017 by Bach's St. John Passion, a summer celebration concert, and culminating with a Christmas concert in December 2017.
We'd be delighted if you could enable us to support young professionals at our concerts, and at the same time continuing to provide quality performances for our local community.
Every donation counts and we'd be delighted if you could spread the word to all your friends and colleagues.
Thank you all so much for your kind generosity.
