A season of hard work, commitment & perseverance has paid off for eight our young talented Fraserburgh Storm basketball players. Marcus Stuart (U11) Vits Gabrans (U12) David James Barclay (U12) Nathan Buchan (U12) Eilidh Noble (U12) Kelsey Grant (U12) Jorja Duncan (U12) & Cael Milne (U15) have all been selected to play for Scotland at their respected age group.

Fraserburgh Storm have a philosophy that good results derive from hard work, & perseverance and I believe this is a valuable life skill that all children should inherit. Creating such a mind-set has really proven beneficial for these players who will now have a minimum of 40 hours training from top national coaches. Trainings will see our boys & girls travel to multiple venues over Scotland before heading off to play international tournaments in Andorra (Spain) & Ireland. As head Coach of the U11 girls National squad, I truly understand what it takes to reach this level of play on all fronts, but none more so than the pure determination I witness from the Storm players day in & out. All of the above players are extremely self-motivated, and have that hunger & desire to excel. What they have achieved is success! I'm extremely proud of them all. At the end of the day we as coaches are there to guide our players, but they are the ones that must go that extra mile & put in the extra hours practicing. I'd like to congratulate our players on their magnificent achievement, and say a big thank you to all the coaching staff and parents of Fraserburgh Storm for their continuous support. Being part of the National Squad requires each child to receive sponsorship and raise approximately £300 each to help contribute towards travel & overseas competition. BBS (Basketball Scotland) in return will offer various sponsorship packages to any willing party willing to sponsor any or all of these talented children. Parents have also created a donations fundraising site to help the players raise funds. Any donations would be kindly appreciated which can be done by following the link below:
