Faye's paralympic dream.

Faye's paralympic dream.

To buy boccia equipment to help Faye's dream of reaching the 2024 paralympic games.

We did it!

On 4th May 2017 we successfully raised £1,193 with 62 supporters in 56 days

Hi Guys

This is a page that has been set up to raise money to buy some sporting equipment for my daughter Faye.

Faye was born prematurely at 26 weeks, weighing 1lbs  13oz. When she was born she had a bleed on her brain which caused cerebral palsy. Faye proved from those early days that she was a fighter and nothing would slow her down.

Faye relies on her wheelchairs as she is unable to walk. She also has issues controlling her arms. But this hasn't stopped her finding a sport that she loves and can compete in. The sport of boccia.

Boccia is played by people with all kinds of different disabilities. It is a game similar to bowls.  With Faye's condition as it is she needs a ramp and other equipment to help her realise her dream of one day representing team GB.

Myself and 3 friends will be walking from Pride park stadium to Field mill stadium, the home of Mansfield Town F.C. This is a total of 22 miles and will take about 8 hours. This will be to raise money to purchase the specialist equipment that she requires to take part in competitions.

We will use the cash raised to buy a specialist ramp, stool, balls and a head pointer. This equipment is very expensive. Hence the reason for the walk. If we go over our target any extra monies will go to Nottinghamshire boccia club, this is the club Faye attends and is based in the Mansfield area.

Any monies received will be gratefully received

Many thanks

Dean
