FACE (Fathers and Children Engage) is a community support network for dads and male carers alike and has been running locally since 2005.
We offer support for male parents and carers from all walks of life, whether you be a happily married dad, single parent, foster carer or step-dad. Our aim is to promote healthy relationships between fathers and children by supporting dad through hard times.
Our members have all been through different experiences and challenges as parents, from divorce and separation with contact issues to money problems and bereavement. We like to think that every person that sees us can take something positive from the wealth of experience that we have, to better the time they have with their kids, regardless of whether it's 7 days a week or 2 hours a month.
On a budget of nil, we launched the website in December 2015 www.facelancs.com, an online portal for us to promote the work we do and the way that we help others. So far, we've had a phenomenal start in our first year online with great feedback and positive statistics. We want to continue to grow our online profile, to broaden our horizons and reach more people than ever. The maintnenance and running of the site has been kept to a minimum cost, but we need the finances to keep it online to thrive.
Long story short, we 're trying the CrowdFunding to raise money to keep our site online, to give the much needed support to dads out there with helpful material and promote our group to as many people as possible.
