Family Bonfire Night 2016

Family Bonfire Night 2016

After the successful return of the FAMILY BONFIRE NIGHT in 2015 it seems only right to do it all again!!!

For those that couldn't make it last year, the family bonfire night was an annual fixture for many of us years ago. It held some great memories for us all. The aim of that night in 2015 was to rekindle the spirit of the occasion and remember family members who are no longer with us. We think we came close to achieving this!

There's been lots of great feedback on the success of last year so we aim to repeat it again with the Marquee, Hog Roast, Hot Food, Beer, Wine, Soft Drinks, Sweets, Fireworks, Bonfire etc.

The CATHERINE WHEEL competition was a tight affair last year but, as many of you witnessed, it doesn't always go right on the night! We need more entries this year so don't be shy with your wheels! There is also a fabulous new trophy of which was retrieved from last year’s ashes! :-)

As per last year the plan is to bring the family together: Uncles, Aunts, Cousins (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th!?) and those friends involved with bonfire nights of old. Getting as many of us as possible together again for this great fixture!

Last year's turnout was fantastic and everyone who came helped make it such a great night. Let's hope there's even more of us there this year. As per last year any contribution by way of funds, catering or volunteering to help would be great!

If you'd like to bring something along to contribute to the evening please post on this page with what you have in mind, so we all know what's coming!

As always it's quite a challenge to track down every member of the family (it's massive!) so please extend this invitation to anyone that's not on this invite list currently / not friends with on facebook.etc.

Let’s make this year even better.

Hope you can make it!
