Firebreak transforms the lives of vulnerable young people.
This week long intensive programme has personal safety and wellbeing at its core, and enables disadvantaged young people the opportunity to gain vital lifeskills which result in happier and healthier outcomes.
The young people referred to Firebreak are experiencing many challenges in their daily lives. This can include those struggling with self esteem, confidence, bereavement, lifelimiting illnesses, disability as well as those not in education, employment or training.
The fundamental principles of Firefighting, including leadership, teamwork, and motivation, are combined with practical skills and scenario based training, classroom centrerd theory and discussion workshops.
Each course costs £4000 for 12 stucents (£333 per student), and we run them at Fire Stations all over the County. Any amount you donate will be attributed to a course. To find out more:
