Ending Josephine's Homelessness

Ending Josephine's Homelessness

I have been homeless for a year now, six months in temporary accommodation and I have also had to sleep rough. To raise a deposit and rent.

We did it!

On 14th May 2017 we successfully raised £305 with 7 supporters in 28 days

Helping Josephine avoid rough sleeping in London.

After leaving home to move to a women's refuge I was told by the local council that I could not receive help from them. This is because I had fled what seemed to me then to be a highly volatile home situation. However  I was regarded as intentionally homeless by the council but the advice that I received from Women's Aid was to leave home for safety reasons. This has left me in a terrible situation of not being able to obtain any help from the council-I need to get Legal Aid to challenge their decision next week. In the meanwhile I have until 20th May to find accommodation-I am currently staying in the spareroom of a couple that I've only known a month however they will soon need their spareroom back.  I am desperate for my son not to see me become Street homeless. I hope you can help by crowdfunding me the deposit/first month's rent and estate agents fees approximately £3000,00 in total to rent a one bedroom flat in Surbiton or Kingston where my son can come and live with me.
