We are a local charity setup with the aim of buying and restoring a 1910's disused cinema, the money raised will fund essential works to esablish works for saving this cinema. It will pay for a business plan, market research, feasability studies, pre planning applications and a full conservation report.  This work is vital in for completing stage one of our project so we can then go on to applying for capital funding to purchase the cinema.  This cinema is only 1 of 3 remaining in the country, designed by renowned architec Pascal Steinlet, who went on to design over 200 in the north of the uk. This will also be the fourth oldest purpose built cinema in the UK and the oldest north of Birmingham.  The cinema hosts a lot of the orginal architecture and fittings from the early 1900's.  These buildings are fast dissapearing from our country and are of significant historical interest.  Once the project is running it will also provide employment and training for a deprived area of the region and will be held in trust by a board to be wholly owned by the community of crook.  Any future profits that will be raised from the venture will be held in trust to go towards local charities and groups who are greatly in need of funds.
