Prior to beginning University last year, I was invited by Thomas Heatherwick after a devling question and a conversation at a lecture he had given - to work at his Studio. Which went very well working on Pier 55. I have hopes of working their should my studies go well in the coming two years.
I then received sponsorship from the Stephen Lawrence Charitable trust. Since sponsorship from the Trust I have attended the House of Lords, with hopes of doing so once again in the coming years, ambitions of one day speaking at the RIBA.
Subsequently my first year at University went very well receiving high commendations from tutors in relation to my work achieving 1st class in the vast majority of submissions.
Forced to pay my own tuition fees having left university due to family reasons. Over the course of this summer, I paid £7,000 toward tuition fees, achieved through subletting my room, working 3 jobs and selling most of my worldly possessions.
I now need £3,000 in order to re enroll into my second academic year, which i can in part pay myself. However, I need assistance and place my hopes of carrying onto my second year in the hands of the many.
Architecture, my raison d'etre. I hope a faith in humanity upon reading into my journey thus far will enable me to bring my dreams out of desperation into fruition.
