I am hoping to raise funds which will allow me to further my studies in Singing at the Royal College of Music on the Graduate Diploma Course, starting September 2017. I have dreamt of studying at the RCM since I was a little girl and cannot believe that it may finally become a reality. The knowledge I will learn and the doors that the RCM will open will set me on my course to becoming a true professional singer. The only small, tiny-weeny hurdle left is my penny shortage and if you think you may be able to support me in any way (no matter how small), there are no words to describe how grateful I would be (forgive me if that is a little gushy- I am a Soprano after all!).
The fees for the course are a measly £10 500. Plus there will be living costs which I am working hard to earn as we speak mostly singing but also chef-ing, book shop assisting, auction assisting, au pairing and teaching, even project managing shed-building...!
Emily was born, and grew up in Cheshire. For ten years she was a Chester Cathedral Chorister (2000-2010).
In 2011 Emily started Durham University, graduating in 2014 with a BA (Hons) Dunelm Degree in Music, and gaining a First in both her Final Recital and Contemporary Performance Recital. It was at Durham that Emily discovered Opera and never looked back! Her performances include Fiordiligi in extracts from Così fan Tutte, Mozart, at Durham University's ‘Last Night of the Proms'; Second Lady in Mozart's Magic Flute (a highly seductive, yet comic role which she thoroughly enjoyed); First Woman, in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at The Sage, Newcastle, and her debut lead role as Dido in Dido and Aeneas with Durham Opera Ensemble.
Emily is now embarking on the new beginnings of her freelance singing career and has just finished her second season at Thursford Christmas Spectacular. Last summer (2016) she toured with the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company in the Chorus of Pirates of Penzance, Yeomen of the Guard, The Mikado and The Sorcerer. She continues to work with her colleague, Sophie Rohan, on their joint venture, Opera Duo, Belle Voci. Which, since beginning in 2015, has expanded to take on more singers due to high demand. A highlight for Belle Voci was performing at the Liverpool Echo Arena to open the Liverpool International Horse Show 2016, a video can be found here.

I have some small ways to thank you for your support:
•Acknowledgement (should you wish) on my website and any further funding publications
• Free entry to any solo recitals I organise
• A free performance at an event(s)* of your choice (Birthday party, daughter's friend's wedding, etc.)
• Regular updates of my progress at College and invitations to performances
• And for something a little different, as I used to be a chef, I will cook a 3-course meal for you and up to 5 guests in your home.
