New stretch target
In addition to the 3 deposits we would be able to pay for campaign materials, including leaflets and posters.
**Important update** We got a few people asking how they could pledge without a Paypal account - you don't need one! When you click on Paypal you can simply put in your credit/debit card details in the next screen, no Paypal account is necessary for that - sorry if that has caused confusion, but unfortunately we have no influence over that part!
Ealing Green Party is trying to raise funds for the deposits for 3 candidates for the General Election.
The Green Party - nationwide, but also locally in Ealing - has seen an unprecedented surge in new members in the last few months. To give these members - and everyone else who believes in green values - a chance to vote Green in the General Election in May 2015 we need to raise £1500 in order to pay for the deposits.
In the recent Lord Ashcroft poll the Green Party was polling at 11% nationwide - please help us make sure we can stand in every seat in Ealing!
It costs £500 per constituency to stand a candidate. As the Green Party is not financed by big business or unions we are dependent on your help - if you would like to see Green Party candidates standing in all three Ealing constituencies, please make a donation today!
Our candidates for the General Election 2015 are Tom Sharman (Ealing Central & Acton), Meena Hans (Ealing North) and Jaspreet Mahal (Ealing Southall)
Tom Sharman is the national Green Party’s Policy Communications Manager and has worked at the Party’s Old Street HQ since March 2014. He grew up in what is now the constituency of Ealing Central and Acton and attended Little Ealing and Acton High state schools. Before working full-time for the Green Party Tom spent a decade working for charities campaigning on global poverty and the environment in the UK, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
Meena Hans is an Adult Education Tutor and has lived in the Borough of Ealing since the age of 3. She has lived in various parts of the borough including Southall, Norwood Green, Northolt, Perivale and Greenford, so is familiar with the areas and can speak from personal experience. She has been active within Ealing Green Party since 2009 and stood in the last two local elections for the wards of Norwood Green and Ealing Broadway.
Jaspreet Mahal was born in Southall and attended Villiers High School. She is currently studying for a degree in Politics and International Relations and is an active member of the Young Greens – the youth wing of the Green Party.
If people were voting for policies rather than parties, the Green Party would win in all three Ealing constituencies:

Please consider donating a small amount that would help us make a big difference.
IMPORTANT: Donations of over £500 have to be reported to the Electoral Commission by the Green Party to ensure these donations are made by UK nationals; political parties may not accept donations of over £500 from those not registered to vote. Also, please ensure that you are on the electoral register - this is a requirement for donating to a political party: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
