Outward Bound invests in disadvantaged young people, aiming to give them the opportunity to raise self-esteem and learn new skills.
About the project
The Outward Bound programme invests in disadvantaged young people, aiming to give them the opportunity to raise self-esteem, self-confidence, develop new skills and raise their aspirations.
I will be working with a group of young people as a volunteer mentor helping a teenager move forward to face the challenge and learning of an outdoor adventure – helping them realise all they are truly capable of.
This will be a great opportunity to help inspire young people to explore their full potential through outdoor adventure.
The money raised will go towards the young peoples programme fees, enabling them to take part and benefit from this worthwhile experience. So remember, your donations are helping to make a positive impact on a young persons life.
The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity and the UK's leading provider of bursary-assisted outdoor learning. They aim to help young people realise their potential through learning in the wild.
They create a supportive and challenging environment in which young people can learn about themselves and see clearly, perhaps for the first time, what they might truly be capable of achieving in life. Outward Bound provides an educational experience to disadvantaged young people who would not normally have access to, or be able to afford, an Outward Bound course.
