As a final project for 2016 we (Psychodoodlz) are connecting with the amazing charity DePaul, specifically the projects based in the Greenwich area supporting homeless youth. We aim to give 4 projects each a day creative session to create a Graffiti/Street Art mural that will be painted onto industrial wrap that will be wrapped around either two polls or trees and we will use spray paints to not only create something special (and weather proof!) that the guys can be proud of but also teach them the skills to paint which we believe will give them a sense of personal confidence and also belonging being part of a collective. We further feel that these taster sessions will be a good foundation stone for more long term projects in 2017. We already have the industrial wrap needed to create the walls and now we are looking to get each of the 4 individual day creative sessions the funding to go towards the spray paint which is £100 which gives us the grand total of£400.
Psychodoodlz is a street art collective I (Marc Craig) created in April 2015 that initially became a profound creative platform for Street Artists to connect with other Street Artists, working primarily on large-scale murals at the world famous Leake Street in London. Since it's humble beginnings Psychodoodlz has grown to become a profound tool to not only enhance the creative experience of all artists of all capability (whatever medium they use) but it also engages those individuals or groups that would not necessarily get the chance to work creatively. We have discovered working through numerous small-scale projects that this organic collaborative approach to being creative has a huge positive impact to individuals and communities and we are looking to hopefully launch Pscyhodoodlz as an Art Foundation in 2017.
We aim to complete the 4 murals between 12th Decemeber 2016 and 21st December 2016.
