Project aim

My husband died on the 4th January 2015 after a fight with brain tumours. He wanted to do everything to make his family financially secure

About the project

Dave was 33 when he died. He was fit, healthy and full of life 12 months before this. He had 2 brain operations and in the space of 10 months from initial diagnosis he went from anaplastic astrocytoma to GBM to gliosarcoma. He had 6 cycles of chemotherapy and 30 sessions of radiotherapy.

Daves dying wish was to ensure financial security for his family. He was taken from us before he could try to sort this out.

We had been in our house 12 months and had paperwork for life insurance completed and ready to return when he went to the doctors with déjà vu. The 4th February 2014 was the last day he was able to work. Dave had worked towards being a hgv driver and had his dream job as fuel tanker driver for only 12 months.

Dave loved his family and has a beautiful outgoing 5 year old daughter and a 32 year old disabled wife.

He was happy and proud with everything he had achieved in life and touched many people's lives.

Dave's biggest worry was always making sure his family could stay in the family home that had been chosen as a forever home. He had plans to do anything it would take to achieve this. Our time at the end was way too short for him to even make a start on this as it was all very sudden.

Please give whatever you can to help fulfilling my husband Dave's wish for his family.

Our total outstanding mortgage is £156,000 Dave's wish was to get this paid off. I know this is an extremely large amount to ask so I'm hoping for at least the £10,000 to get the mortgage covered for the year.
