 New stretch target

Thank you so much for your  generosity in helping us reach our target to be able to outside broadcast at the Unity Festival 2015. Any monies donated above and beyond the initial £250 will go towards the day to day running of Cross Rhythms Plymouth, helping us to continue to provide 24/7 radio into Plymouth.

Project Aim

Help Cross Rhythms Plymouth outside broadcast at the Unity Festival 2015.

About The Project

Cross Rhythms Plymouth are very excited to be partnering with the 2015 Unity Festival in a bigger way than ever before. This year, for the first time, we are planning on outside broadcasting 3 hours of the festival on the Saturday. We aim to make this the first of many outside broadcasts for similar local events. But to realise this, we need YOUR help!

As a community radio station Cross Rhythms Plymouth is a registered charity which relies on donations in order to keep running. Licensed by Ofcom as a Christian Community Radio Station for Plymouth, our income currently goes to the day to day running of the station.

The Unity Festival takes place on Plymouth Hoe every year and is organised by All Nations Ministries. The 2015 festival will be the 7th year it has happened and it will be taking place on the weekend of the 29th & 30th August.

In the past we at Cross Rhythms Plymouth have supported the Unity Festival by conducting interviews with festival organisers in the lead up to the festival and publicising it in any way we can. This year however we want to take it a step further and broadcast a key section of the festival completely LIVE! This is a big step for a small community radio station like us but is one which we know is worth doing.

Why Outside Broadcast?

  • Outside Broadcasting the Unity Festival allows those people in the community who are unable to physically attend the festival to enjoy it wherever they are.
  • By tuning in on 96.3FM in Plymouth, online at crossrhythms.co.uk/radio/console/plymouth or on our smartphone app, people can listen to the festival anywhere in the world meaning the potential audience for the festival is hugely multiplied.
  • Outside broadcasting provides great publicity for the festival, attracting visitors on the day.
  • By outside broadcasting we offer the artists who are playing at the festival the opportunity to play their music to a radio audience.

Where is the money going?

Cross Rhythms Plymouth is entirely staffed by volunteers. The £250 we are asking for will go towards purchasing the kit we need in order to make the outside broadcast a reality. The really good news is that this kit can be used again in future to outside broadcast not only next year's Unity Festival but other local events.

Your pledges really will make a huge difference so thank you for reading this and considering funding us.
