Help Craig become the next MSP for Falkirk East
Our area deserves a MSP who is passionate, who has a positive vision and is hardworking. We need someone who will stand up for our area and speak out against injustices. That is why I should be the next MSP for Falkirk East.
Who is Craig?
Born and bred in Carronshore. I went to Larbert High before going on to study chemistry at the University of Glasgow, eventually obtaining a PhD. I have been a Councillor in Falkirk since May 2007 and I currently hold the Environment spokesperson. I have worked in the chemical industry in Grangemouth and for former MP Michael Connarty. I am married to Helen who works at the STUC and have two young boys, Michael and Lewis.
Why Craig?
I want to ensure that every child gets the start in life I had and the opportunities this brings. I was the first in my family to go to university and I'm grateful to my family and teachers for the support I received. I want to see much more spend being targeted on early years development and especially towards the most vulnerable. Everything I want to achieve to make Scotland more equal, fairer and sustainable comes down to ensuring we have good quality jobs for people to earn a living. It should not be right that you can work 45 hours a week and still have to rely on foodbanks to feed your family or working tax credits to help pay the rent. We need a better economy that works for the many not the few.
What will the money be used for?
The money will be used to buy campaign materials, like leaflets, posters and letters. All the money raised will go to fight this campaign and help me become the next MSP for Falkirk East.
Thank you very much
