The Spark is week of workshops, films, discussions, poetry, music and art looking at the fight for social justice. Help us cover the costs!
What is the Spark?
The Spark attracts over 800 people to a week long space full of information, performance, music, art, and education. It's a truly unique space that brings together people who care about social justice but would never normally meet each other to form strong new friendships and networks, making the movement for social justice stronger.
Whether you're angry about injustice in the world and ready to do something, or want to have more in-depth conversations about issues that interest you, share experiences from and ideas about grassroots movements, gain practical skills for social change, meet people and make new connections, explore social justice issues through the arts, or all of these things, then the Spark is for you.
Everything at the Spark is free to attend.
Who is involved in the Spark?
The Spark organising group is made up of individuals involved in a range of social-justice focussed projects, and it is supported by the Economic Justice Project.
Why are we crowdfunding?
The Spark will always be free for everyone to attend, but it costs money to put it on. From the venue and food for everyone, to travel for speakers, equipment and access needs such as ramps and hearing loops. So please do donate if you can to help us recover our costs!
