Cotswold Boatmobility is a small charity offering a unique and exciting experience for the disabled, needy, vulnerable, the of any age whatever the background. We use special canoes called Kata Kanoes to enable experience the wildlife and piece of the waterways, especially on the newly restored Stroudwater Canal . These canoes are twin hulled and cannot be overturned making them safe for all ages.Shortly we will have the loan of a Wheelyboat from the Wheelyboat Trust whch will enable those with Wheelchairs , mobility scooters etc to also experience the waterway, perhaps going through locks and swing bridges. Open to the elements and using electric power this boat offers a wonderful experience giving users the rare chance to enjoy the world which is already available to others.
We need funds for life jackets, Insurance, maintenace, training, fuel etc to give us the security of long term use. This unique and special community project is looking for your support. Please help and perhaps come along and enjoy the experience for yourself.
