Cooking for the homeless - Manchester
In mid January I am going to start cooking for the homeless in Manchester once or twice a month. I found this lovely group of people who distribute food called MadDogs [https://www.facebook.com/MadDogsStreetProject/] and want to contribute to the amazing work they are doing. The number of people sleeping rough in Greater Manchester has risen by nearly 50 per cent in a year. Now roughly 150 people are homeless in Manchester. The aim of this crowdfund is to finance the ingredients needed to make meals for roughly 30-50 people once or twice a month. With your help I will be making lasagnas, curries, chilli, jambalaya, tagines, stews and any other nutritious tasty meals I can think of. I really appreciate any donation and will post regular pictures of all the tasty food made and distributed.
My main goal would be to raise £600 so I can cook twice a month for a whole year (each meal costing £25 in total for 30-50 people).
Any unused or extra money will be given to charities that help the homeless.
