We are raising money to convert a Route Master bus into a mobile pop-up Cookie Bar
by abigailchloe in London
We are trying to raise £15000, in order to get this project over the line, so every donation really helps - whether it's £2 or £200.
Our rewards for pledging include:
AND, the first 100 people who pledge will be entered into a prize draw to win a ski holiday in Austria!
Please pledge now and get your hands on some of these great prizes!

The Cookie Bar isn’t an ordinary café... it's a unique social enterprise where 100% of its profits are reinvested back into communities. These profits are split between COINS Foundation charitable projects and with schools in the UK (such as Stepping Stones).
The Cookie Bar also provides valuable work experience for students with a range of disabilities. We currently have two cafes (one in Slough and one in Surrey), but we want to expand and grow, and get ALL over the country... maybe even further...
To find out more about the Cookie Bar, watch this 4 min video. It follows Joe - a student at Stepping Stones - on his journey through work experience and paid work at the Cookie Bar. It even features his (proud) mum!
We have been given a Routemaster bus by COINS Global. Now, we need £15,000 to fully transform this into a Cookie Bar on wheels. The Cookie Bar bus will allow us to attend festivals, fetes and other events. It will also help us to test locations for future social enterprise cafes. We need your help to customise, refurbish and renovate the bus into a mobile pop-up Cookie Bar.
We think our cookies are the very best. They don’t just taste good, they actually ARE good because all our profits go to worthy causes.
We don’t just sell cookies… Our menu includes everything from hot soups and fresh salads to homemade quiches and mouth-watering paninis. Our café in Hindhead also doubles as a gift shop, selling beautiful glassware and dishes. To learn more about our products, check out our Instagram page.
This is the bus in its current state:
But, we have a very clear vision of how it will look after it is converted:
The top floor will be a seated café, whilst the lower deck will look like this...
The bus will give us enormous flexibility. We'll be visiting various events throughout the year, including music festivals, fetes, car boot sales, parties - if you hire us, we'll be there! You can keep up to date with our plans on Facebook and Twitter.
COINS Global have generously given us the bus (they had it lying around...) and have started us off on our funding journey, but we really need your help and plegdes to cross the finish line, and get on tour.
Fingers crossed we secure this £15000 funding - and the bus will be ready late spring - perfect timing so that we can travel to events and festivals this summer!
You can help us to bring the Cookie Bar bus to a place near you by making a pledge. We've been as imaginative and generous as we can with our rewards, so please take a look. You can also help us by sharing this page on social media and emailing it to your friends and colleagues. If you’ve got your own blog or website, please take the time to write about us. We really appreciate your support.
If we don't raise £15,000 by Tuesday 17th March, we don't get ANY of the funds that have been pledged! Not a penny! This poor old bus will be back in its garage, not a cookie in sight... For this reason, we need you to share this page as much as you can!
Did we mention? We are offering our first 100 backers a chance to win a holiday for two to Birgkarhaus Hotel in Austria (excluding flights).
Once 100 people pledge, we'll choose a winner at random.
