We did it! The children's hospital is now on it's way to Aleppo.
Thanks to the generosity of so many we've raised £10,000 that was needed to get the convoy from London to Syria and the remaining money that has been raised will be used towards the running costs of the hospital.
In addition, we have raised all of the £91,432 needed to buy all the equipment and supplies to rebuild the hospital in the Aleppo region. The details of the convoy can be found at www.peoplesconvoy.com The initiative is spearheaded by the very capable Dr Rola Hallam of the non-profit CanDo www.candoaction.org, who is working with a long list of established aid agencies.
The convoy's aim is saving lives, making a humanitarian stand against the bombing of medical services as a weapon of war and sending a strong message to the people of East Aleppo that the world has not forgotten them.
As we have reached our target, we will be closing this page and consolidating donations on www.peoplesconvoy.com
This will be the world's first ever crowd funded hospital, as far as we know - so please help us make it happen and be part of this historic and bold campaign. Please go to www.peoplesconvoy.com to make a donatoin.
This is happening, an amazing Can-Do attitiude has created this humanitarian response in less than 3 weeks. Please help!
