Conservation of the African Lion

I am going to Zambia to work alongside the African Lion & Environmental Research Trust to help save Lion populations from further decline.

Project aim

I am going to Zambia to work alongside the African Lion & Environmental Research Trust to help save Lion populations from further decline.

About the project

SINCE 1975 WE HAVE LOST 80 - 90% OF THE AFRICAN LION POPULATION.  THEIR NUMBERS CONTINUE TO FALL AND IT IS MY DREAM TO PROTECT THEM!

Now I have completed my BSC (Hons) in Conservation Biology from Plymouth University I have the skills required to make a real difference!

The African Lion & Environmental Research Trust (ALERT) is an incredible Charity very close to my heart this project means everything to me and my future but most importantly the future of the lion species currently in rapid decline across the whole of Africa. I have gathered the majority of the funding required for this project but require a little help to find the rest of the funding, anything you can give means the world to me!

ALERT works with communities and policy makers, with conservation managers, researchers and business leaders, to implement locally conceived and relevant solutions that create sustainable motivation to conserve lions amongst these stakeholder groups.  ALERT also works with communities to meet the challenges of living alongside a dangerous predator, whilst conducting research to improve our understanding of the lion’s behaviour in Africa’s ecosystems to better inform decision making.

Thank You
