The concept is simple; provide a safe, engaging AND PORTABLE soft play facility that can be accessed by all!
The Community soft play project WILL BE a great place for the community and gives parents some respite whilst their children enjoy the safe fun environment. Parents can also use the activity centre as a great place to socialise with other parents.
The project will be located at Fort Widley, one of the two Victorian Forts in which the activity centre operates. With the funding, we can not only create a play hub at Fort Widley, we can also establish a mobile soft play facility that can be accessed by the wider community.
The charity has around 1,000 visits a week to our centres. We currently host a wide range of activities for children, including weekly sessions, family fun days and children’s parties, all of which are well attended.
We host a number of events and activities for the community and want to provide an equal opportunity for the diverse community that use our centre. With the success of this project we will be able to cater better for these needs.
With one of the most deprived areas of Portsmouth on our door step we would like to provide affordable safe soft play fun for children and or parents on low incomes. By establishing the Community Soft Play Project we will be able to offer better facilities for children which will help lower potential obesity levels and improve the children's social and motor skills, interacting with newly made friends. Key to this will be ensuring the project is attended by local child minders in the area.
With your help and support we can make The Community Soft Play Project one of the best and safest free play sessions in the local community, local people will benefit from your support, which will help the charity keep its doors open to continue with our mission.
With your support, we aim to establish a new soft play facility based at Fort Widley as well as purchase a suitable trailer to transport the equipment for access by local community groups and events.
We will also offer an open day launch for all community users to attend and make use of the fantastic new equipment, which will be Free for all!
