We hope to build a junior rugby league club that will link local primary and secondary schools and Universities in Oxfordshire

We are hoping to build a junior rugby league club that will link local primary and secondary schools and Universities in Oxfordshire. After one year of laying the foundations with limited funding it has become clear there is a huge demand for a junior rugby league side in Oxfordshire. As we have the player base we are now in desperate need of qualified coaches to be able to run sessions for a community club at two age groups but completing the Level 1 and 2 courses costs money. It is our belief that if we can secure funding we can put University students through the qualifications and then utilise them with an Under 12 and 13 community side where players are currently looking to begin training in the new year. There are a number of fixtures that are waiting in the wings for these players but without any qualified coaches and on top of that, finances to hire out a training venue and travel costs it is something that is currently on hold. It is for this reason that we are asking for your support, we would like to provide our young players with a good sporting opportunity, to feel part of a team and enjoy themselves in their spare time. We would also like to provide older students with the chance to become qualified coaches, to build a small community coaching team who can work together and deliver fun and exciting rugby league sessions to those wanting to become involved in the game. All this will become possible with any support you can provide.
