Who are we?
Saltash Rugby Club was formed in 1969, playing out of a nearby Comprehensive School. In 1982, the Club moved to Moorlands Lane where is had its own pitch, with a second pitch at nearby Chapel Field. Moorlands Lane still remains the home of the Club today.
The Youth Section of the Club was established in November 2003, prooving very popular within the local community. By 2006-07 season, and continuing to thrive, the Youth Section was now the 4th largest in the county.
Today, the Youth Section is thriving; we have well in excess of 200 registered players and have teams at all age groups from U6s through to Colts, and a small army of volunteers that help make our Youth Section the success that it is.
What we are trying to achieve....
Saltash RFC Youth Section are looking to aid and improve communication between the Youth Committee, Coaches & Volunteers and the Parents. We are aiming to create an area within the clubhouse which will contain all the information you should need to know.
To create a youth area within the clubhouse which contains details on the following:
- Youth policies, processes and codes of conduct
- Youth contact information (coaches, first aiders, Safeguarding etc.)
- Fixture information
- Match reports
- Pitch layout for home matches
- Social events
- Trophy cabinet
So Where Will the Money Go?
Your money will be used to purchase a noticeboard and cabinet to promote the good team ethos that Saltash RFY Youth displays. We all beleive in the club and building a future generation to move into a career in rugby, be it at a local, regional or national level.
In additon to improving communications, we are aiming to re-floor the changing areas to ensure we are offering the best facilities to our youth players and to those of our visiting teams.
We are all very passionate about the club, rugby and especially the kids that make it what it is. Please support this campaign in order to make us more visible and encourage more players to our great club.
