Ultimately I want to get my products to a place where they are ready to be sold professionally.
At the moment, I make them myself in my mums kitchen, whilst working part time for the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby team. I package them myself but they've got to a stage where the demand has outgrown the packaging and the product deserves something smarter, simpler and easier to use (open).
My inspiration comes from a personal story that has developed into a "want" to help others. I started making food for myself after getting ill in 2012 with Candida (which is a yeast
overgrowth in the gut). This lead me to undertaking a specific diet for six weeks and following that I developed intolerances to certain foods (such as gluten and yeast). Being away from home for weeks at a time at training camps and tournaments, it was important for me to have snacks and foods that I could eat without suffering from the affects of eating food that I was intolerable too.
Consequently, I started making bars containing the ingredients that I didn't react too. Some of the players noticed this and started eating the bars too and following this I decided that if the bars helped me, surely the bars can help others that also suffer from intolerances.
All of the feedback so far on the different fruit and nut bars has been great and at the moment i'm especially proud that i'm also able to create bespoke products for people that have different intolerances! After all we might be similar but we're not all the same!
I want to create a product that is professional, sustainable, environmentally friendly, healthy and above all else... Tasty!
Further down the line I want to get to a stage where I can create jobs for others. I know how difficult it can be to find a job that you love; that's why i'm passionate about creating
opportunities for others. I also want to be in a position where I can do more for others, whether it's setting up events to help charities fundraise or sponsor an athlete who desperately needs help.
But for now, I need help.
I know the product is good, I just need your help professionalising it :)
So why should you help me?
It's a good question...
Your pledge will help me professionalise my products. Whether you don't have any intolerances and you're just looking for a healthy snack or if you're after a product that will satisfy your cravings without the negative side affects, this is something I believe in and definitely something that I feel will help others.
