Hello my name is Belinda
I'm in my early 30s and a mother of 2 boys, I work in a private nursery in London.
I have worked with children for the past 15 years and have managed nurseries over the last 8 years as well as worked in Primary and Secondary schools within the last 10years.
The joy of working with children started from the day my mother gave birth to my twin brothers (22 years now), at an early age I looked after them whilst my mother and father attended work mostly after I came home straight from school and weekends.
Few years later I started babysitting every weekend looking after family friends children.
I later attended college to study childcare and Education whilst working as a TA at schools and crèches, later I then attended University to study Education (I was still working as a TA and nursery nurse).
After the birth of my son I continued working with children then later on was encouraged by some parents to apply for managing positions which I still work as in my current job.
I am raising funds to build a children's educational play center for children under 12 years in Ghana,, My mission is to promote educational development in Ghana by providing educational resources from developed nations and provide them to needy children and any other children in need of this service.
Some children are in need of educational support and socialising within their age group.
Providing this centre will allow children to be children and enjoy children activities that suits their developmental needs and to allow them to reach their full potential.
I will be grateful if I could reach this amount needed by January 2017.
This project means a lot to me because every child has a right to be a child and a right to learn through play, explore and widen their knowledge. Every child learns and develop in many different ways, this service will allow children to express themselves freely.
This project will help meet and support children developmental needs and stages.
I am thankful for the fact that I have this idea and I have been given the opportunity to talk about it and hopefully implement it soon or later.
Every little help, no amount is too small, I appreciate your support.
Thank you in advance
