Cheap Food Lancashire and Helping Local Foodbanks

Providing Cheap Food for Lancashire (and beyond) residents whilst supporting Local Foodbanks with FREE stock.

Project aim

Providing Cheap Food for Lancashire (and beyond) residents whilst supporting Local Foodbanks with FREE stock.

About the project

It is no secret that times are hard for people and food is forever increasing in price whilst incomes are showing very little increase.

I have several suppliers sourced for 'short dated food' - this is foodstuffs that are general within 3/6 months of reaching their 'best before' date and because of this can be purchased at a huge discount, often upto 10% of normal wholesale prices.

I am in the process of forming a vat registered UK limited company and have already taken on storage facilities to purchase quantities of these foods to resell at local markets, door-to-door delivery etc at prices still heavily discounted to enable people on low incomes to have food in their cupboards.

IN ADDITION - 5% of all the food purchased will be donated and distributed to local foodbanks and charities to help those wonderful organisations with their work and support the most desperate people in our society.

A website will also be created to enable online selling and a section of this will be dedicated to listing the donations we have made and to where, as we hope to help a variety of organisations on a rotating basis.

I have personally already put my entire savings of £2,000 into this project but seek further help to fund the purchase of a reliable van and for initial stock etc.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you can help in any small way it would be fantastic - look out for us in local media once trading begins as we have had some very engaging interest already from local journalists.
