We are raising money for Cancer Ward 15 of the Birmingham Childrens Hospice and raising awareness by getting Bob Beales to the WRC Rally GB!
About the project
Following on from our successful “Spend a year with TeamVrD” Competition last year, where we raised over £3000 for a cancer victim, we thought to raise the bar, pushing on with our charity work in the community.
Bob Beales has been Rallying his beloved Beetle since 1966 and it is 25 years to the date he drove from Glasgow to Monte Carlo to compete in the first Historic Monte Carlo WRC Round.
To commemorate Bobs amazing journey in rallying that spans 49 years we are aiming to get the Beetle to the WRC Rally GB event this year.
Without aiming just for a one time possibility we are pushing on and investing the money you donate in our young driver development programme to help Jordan Rushby continue his Thundersports Motorcycle campaign and Nathan Hopkins in beginning his blossoming Rally career.
Thats not all ! We cannot raise any money without a focus on charity work and this year we are supporting Cancer Ward 15 of the Childrens Hospice in Birmingham. If we raise the target of funds we will be making a large donation to this fantastic charity that really helps the short lives of those affected by such a tragic illness.
We have been assured that all the money that VrDMotorsport will donate is to go directly to the children in the hospital, than be swallowed up in the current system.
This means that thanks to you people out there, we will also be able to make a great difference to the lives of young people, who suffer from a terrible illness, that either impacts or significantly shortens their lives.
