The green houses should be prefabricated, easy and quick to assemble, modular, with natural materials, slick and elegant. They should generate at least 100% of their energy need (hopefully houses will be energy positive). They will use central energy unit that will be assembly of rechargeable batteries and DC/AC converters. Wind generators will be installed at optimal spots and should help generate electricity in addition to photovoltaic, especially over night. The home battery pack will be designed to allow to run most energy needs over night. All of the excess electricity will be sold back to grid. All of the white goods will be adjusted to work on readily available DC current. Dish washer and washing machine will use readily available hot water from emersion sun heaters. Ground source Heath pump will be used to heat the house in the winter and to cool it in the summer. Construction will use good insulators in the walls and triple glazing (at least) in windows. Rain water will be collected in the preconstructed reservoirs with built in filters. Excess rain water will be run down the ground source wells to replenish the underground aquifers. We intend to use readily available modular homes at the beginning. The most unique feature of these houses will be modifications that will be installed on all appliances to allow house to practically operate off grid. The cost of the house should be competitive to classic brick and concrete, and of course Elon Musk's homes.
