There are 5 sessions over two and a half days, the river sessions will be held on the spectacular riviere du Diable which will be divided into 2 distinct sectors. The lake sessions will be held on 3 lakes. The river holds wild and stocked Brown and Brook Trout, and the lakes hold stocked Rainbow and Brook Trout.

My fishing background

I took up Fly Fishing fairly recently and have progressed relatively well.

  • Qualifying as a coach in 2015,
  • Voluntering for casting for recovery (Breast Cancer Charity).
  • Mentoring youngsters on the Angling Trusts Talent Pathway.

This will be my first experience at fishing in a commonwealth competition and I feel very honoured to have been given this opportunity.
