Castaway Goole Music Theatre has been a registered charity for nearly 10 years, working with adults and young people with learning and physical disabilities. Due to our development over the years, our productions have become more challenging and we are now looking to recruit professional musicians to work alongside our band members for our next production, Just So. This means we need additional funding to finance 4 musicians to take part in rehearsals and the show itself. We do fund raise for the show and also rely greatly on community support; however, these additional musicians would enhance the production for our audience, as well as giving a great experience to our members who can develop their skills alongside them.
Just So is a musical by Anthony Drew and George Stiles, written in 1984 based on the Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling. Just So will be performed at Junction Goole from 17th to 20th May 2017 and involves 3 evening performances and 2 matinees as well as 2 dress rehearsals and weekly rehearsals leading up to the show itself.
Our performances are well respected within the local community and we want to keep giving them high quality arts experiences and challenge our members. The company's development has been very much member led and is a small charity, operating without any council or other regular funding. Any donation will make a massive difference.
