This is a charity dedicated to increasing the amount of black Caribbean children entering Russell Group Universities. We intend to do this through mentoring and longitudinal support for current and incoming Year 12 students. In order to make this goal possible, we need to raise an inital £1000 to cover the costs of travel for the young mentee's, catering, networking expenses and venue hire for our first annual conference during the Easter period. As well as monetary support, feel free to share, spread the word and follow us on Twitter @CariConnect.
Committing monetarily to this event and the larger annual conferences we have planned is not the only form of support. We are more than aware that support comes in all forms: monetary sponsorship, time/effort or even ideas that you think we could implement to better our foundation. Whatever you choose to offer, we are more than happy to receive. With your support, today’s young Caribbeans will transform and eradicate negative stereotypes that surround into tomorrow’s leaders:
£100 could pay for up to 2 students materials such as textbooks, stationary and other tools to further their learning.
£150 Would cover travel, catering, networking expenses for students in workshops that we decide to hold.
£500 could go a long way to booking spaces, arranging catering and guests for our larger conference in April.
