Aim of Project
The aim of this project is to support the 'Ecole Laique,' school set up in the the Calais Refugee camp area and to donate Winter supplies. I can take a week off and plan to volunteer in November with the school, self-funding as much as possible for my trip. Where we need to raise the costs is with taking Winter shelter supplies like sleeping bags, camp beds, etc., and school books, gained from this project, to Calais in early November as it's getting cold!

About the Project
I'll be working with Calais Aid and other agencies so only supplies really needed are taken along. As I've worked with refugees in the past I've arranged with the worthy camp school to assist, however needed. I hope to take books and materials they request. Language skills are a crucial tlifeline for people, who often speak several, and helps promote a sense of future in these situations. With any spare time, I work with other volunteers at the Calais Action warehouse, where daily there is a shortage of distribution help.
I am self-funding this trip. Updates will be made regularly here and on social media, every step of the way with transparancy of costs and supplies. A 'diary' of events is planned whilst working in Calais which can be followed online. Your support is massively appreciatedl
