Caged In - Ad Astra Productions - Film Project

Summary The Ad Astra production company are hoping to raise £750 through crowdfunder. The company comprises of Royal Holloway University of London students who are working towards their final year 10-minute film project, currently titled Caged In . For the key creatives of this film the final product determines part of our overall mark for our degree grade. It is also a very important film for Ad Astra as it is one of the first opportunities as filmmakers they will be able to work in a more professional capacity. We desperately need your donations for Ad Astra to get the project going. The story has been developed by the Ad Astra team over several production meetings and has been creatively written for the screen by Cheyney Knox. Synopsis The story is about Victoria, a young woman suffering from osteoporosis, who yearns for the outside world to come to her bedside. When Victoria s mother, Sophia, hires a carer, Nora, in search of her own freedom, Victoria becomes more physically trapped than ever before. (We are currently in our final stages of script development and so a full synopsis will be revealed after the final draft of the script is written) What will my money be spent on? All the donations will be spent on the production of the film. This is a non-profit scheme. Achieving a high quality film is our utmost goal for the film. Whilst we can hire out our own equipment free of charge from our university there are many costs to cover even for a low budget student film. Most of the money need will go towards transport to and from locations for the cast and crew but things will be also spent on costume, props, locations and food for in the production period. Sounds cool what s in it for me? In exchange for your financial contribution we are offering a series of rewards divided into different levels; details of which are provided to the left and laid out in the project business plan. The teams feel that theses rewards best represent the value in terms of a reward structure. Crowdfunder offers an easy way for you to donate and us to raise money but protects your investment with a level of protection. Crowdfunder holds your donations until we have achieved our target amount, after which, the monies are released to our production account. However should we be unsuccessful in our efforts in raising the desired amount, then all the donations are returned. This is a nothing to loose, everything to gain situation. Your donation is protected for the predetermined duration of the fund raising event. INTERESTED and want to DONATE? Fantastic! Select your donation level and donate to our film. The easiest way to donate to the project is through Direct Debit. I would like to thank you for taking the time to consider our very special project. For those who do donate thank you very much for your contribution, we are all very grateful for it. If you would rather donate your services than money such as food, if you are a driver, have a car or van, a stately home/mansion you wouldn't mind us filming in that would be great! ;) - if so, please contact us via our Facebook Page, Twitter or contact the producer directly. Note: A full line budget will be available on request for your consideration. Please email the Ad Astra producer. If you require any further information about the project, have any further questions and queries please contact the producer via email: ionawestlake@hotmail.co.uk
