Broadlands Retirement Home

Registered Charity Broadlands Retirement home needs to replace old and failing kitchen equipment.

 Welcome to Broadlands.

Broadlands was originally opened in 1945 as a home for elderly retired people. It was and still is a non profit making registered charity, which enables us to provide retired people with a comfortable home at affordable prices.

The objective of the home is to provide elderly people with a comfortable, clean environment in a warm, light & happy atmosphere. To make Broadlands ‘their’ home.

We have 36 wonderful residents and catering for them is a major task. We provide fantastic homemade meals 3 times a day and try to source as much local produce as possible. Our cooks are very conscious that mealtimes are a big part of the day for the residents, so do their utmost to make every meal as tasty and wholesome as possible.

Being a large old building, maintenance is a big issue and must always take priority. It has however, got to a stage where some of the kitchen equipment is failing or has failed and we can not afford to replace.

We are looking for generous people to help fund replacement of these pieces of kitchen equipment. The most urgent is a food processor and meat slicer.

We would love to be able to replace these 2 items and if the generosity continued, it would be fantastic if we could install a walk in fridge and freezer!

We thank you in advance for any help that you can give.
