We are the Brixton Community in solidarity with workers at the Ritzy Cinema.
Workers at the Ritzy cinema have been in dispute with their employers since last year. Staff are asking to be paid the London Living Wage. Cineworld, owners of the Picturehouse brand, have dug their heels in and, despite making over £84 million in profit last year, are denying staff a fair wage.
Four members of staff were fired for their role in organising Ritzy workers.
As people of Brixton, we are disgusted by the way a huge multinational corporation is treating its workers. As a community we believe that it is our duty to rally in support of Ritzy staff which is why we call upon the whole community to boycott the Ritzy cinema and bar in Windrush Square.
Please show solidarity, please support the boycott.
Please donate so we can spread the word amongst the people of South London.
