My name is Jess, and I (we) started to plan our Wedding in Malta in summer 2015, at that time the euro rate was a healthy 1.35. The disasterous result (my personal opinion) of the Brexit vote has led to a plummeting exchange rate, with forecasts predicting a possible 1:1 by end 2016. Unfortunately this is when I (we) have to pay approximately 13,500euro to pay for our wedding next year. This was going to cost us £10,000.00 but we are faced with the very real reality that it may be more like £13,500.00.
I am pledging for donations to help save the wedding, from guilty vote leavers or even sympathetic fellow stayers.
To raise our shortfall of £3,500.00 this would only require 2.06% of the 17million leavers to pledge 1p. (Higher donations are obvisouly very welcome).
Come on UK...I believe in you.
