On the 14th June I slipped on a broken stair nosing on a public stairway in Bridgnorth Shropshire, I suffered a Severe head injury leading to a bleed on the brain, and other multiple injuries including broken ribs, deep tissue injuries and a suspected broken arm, wrist and pelvis. I have concussion suffer nausea, headaches and dizziness. At the time I was taking Warfarin for a heart condition.
I have begun legal action for damages but as this may take up to and beyong two years I need help to move to a more suitable home, one that is level. I have severe problems with the stairs in my present home and I am worried concernign money to visit hospital. I am in receipt of the state pension. I am 66 years of age . I have tried to broadcast my story and get these dangerous stairs closed but to no avail. I am seeking to fund a new home, and legal action to obtain damages, have a will written and to fund action to close the steps before somebody is killed.
I have many pictures of the stairway showing the broken and worn dilapidated state of the stairway, at the time as no notices or danger was evident I trusted that the Council would make sure that a public stairway was safe to use, this however was not the case.
On the day I was transferred to three different hospitals, it has affected me deeply, I am suffering from insomnia, mood changes and despression. I have severe memory problems at present along with other symptoms concerned with my injuries. Thank you for reading this.
