10 partners, 100 winners and £100k up for grabs… All of this amplified into £1m raised for great ideas through crowdfunding. Have we got your attention yet? We’re planning something quite special to get the New Year off to a great start – but we want you to get involved.
Tell me more!
We are collaborating with GoDaddy and ten innovative partners to deliver ‘What’s Your Idea?’ – a campaign that will seek out 100 projects that might just change the world. The campaign will run over 10 different days, each with its own theme and £10k available for 10 different winners – every. single. day.
It’s might sound a little crazy, we know… so why are we doing this?
Because we believe that more ideas, the ideas that have the incredible potential to bring about a new way of seeing or doing things, need to be a reality.
Do you want to know what the ten different themes look like so far? I know, I know – we’re still in the planning phase of the campaign, but we just couldn’t wait to tell you!
The 10 different themes…
Sport. The ideas that inspire people to get active.
Change Makers (Social Enterprise) – Ideas that bring about positive change.
Community – The ideas that support and unite local communities.
Female – Female entrepreneurs – we want to hear your ideas!
Student – We want to find out what the next generation has in store for the future.
Tech For Good – The ideas that are using technology to make the world a better place to live in.
Food & Drink – This one is always a hit! We’ll be on the hunt for the yummiest ideas out there.
Exporting/Growth – The ideas and businesses that know that borders aren’t blockers.
Environmental – Think conservation, sustainability and all things green.
Regional – We’re still working on this one…
As a partner of the campaign, what do we need you to do?
As a partner of the ‘What’s Your Idea?’ campaign, we just need you to do a few simple things.
The first is to own a day and a theme. This day will be all yours, during which you’ll be offering £10k to ten different eligible projects that meet the criteria you set.
Based on previous success, we expect to see 300+ ideas applying each day, but to achieve this we must ask that you are in a position to market and promote your day. This means that we can have maximum impact!
And how exactly do these great ideas apply for the fund?
For ideas to be in with a chance of winning £1k, we ask them to submit their entries over on our Facebook page on the specific post allocated for that day, in the form of 100 words or less. The ten winning ideas will then be notified at 5PM on the same day.
In order to unlock this winning pledge from the partner, each of the finalists will then need to also raise money through crowdfunding (they will receive one to one coaching from our team of experts before launching), thus amplifying the amount of funds that each idea receives.
By following this process, and by promoting it all through Facebook, you can expect to get a huge amount of brand awareness throughout the day and in the lead up to the launch of the Crowdfunder projects.
But wait, what’s in it for you?
Don’t you worry – we’re undertaking this endeavour together and will be with you every step of the way.
This process is tried and tested already with partners such as Virgin, GoDaddy, Propel by Deloitte, Santander and many others who have used these kinds of campaigns for brand awareness and content generation – all with great success!
Nick Leech, Head of Marketing at 123Reg and GoDaddy, said, “The campaign gained huge awareness and reach for the size of the investment and resulted in a high level of engagement with exactly the right audience for our brands. On top, we came away with personal connections to some exciting stories that continue to deliver content-led benefits to our brand.”
You’ll gain a huge amount of awareness for your brand and high levels of engagement, with lots of ideas becoming linked to your brand… and I’m sure that we don’t need to tell you that every idea is a brilliant and real story to tell.
