We sat down for a chat with Julie Creffield to get the low down on her #VOOM action…
Tell us about your business in 5 words…
Fitness, Fun, Females, Friendships, Fearless.
What prompted you to enter VOOM 2016?
I have been thinking about crowdfunding for a while as I need to secure some finance to take my business to the next level. I liked the fact that my women would be able to get involved as voters and pledgers.
How has crowdfunding helped your business, and your competition entry?
Thinking about the crowdfunding element has helped me make a case for the work to my customers and potential partners, its an opportunity for people to put their money where there mouth is.
How are you encouraging votes and pledges?
A range of communications via my blog, social media and emails. I also used the London Marathon weekend to speak directly to sports brands and folk from the running world to get support.
What’s the best bit about VOOM 2016?
That its so visible and you can see how other businesses are doing.
How far do you want to get in the competition?
I intend to make it all the way.
Where do you want your business to be in 5 years?
I want to have Too Fat to Run coaches in every town and city in the UK helping women face their fears and improve their health and happiness, with franchises being developed in other countries around the world. I want to have a staff team helping to drive the work, and to travel the world as a motivational speaker inspiring women to set big fat stupid goals and achieve their dreams no matter how huge.
