Beth French is a mother and also an ambitious swimmer who aims to crowdfund enough funds to swim from Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly. Beth hopes to raise £2,500 to swim the 26 mile stretch of water.

Fifteen year old Amy Jones has successfully raised £3,500 to set up Stay Strong and help young people cope with bullying. Crowdfunder HQ absolutely love this project and love that Amy can go on to share her experiences and help other young people over come fears of being bullied.
It’s smiles all round for Crowdfunder HQ today as two fantastic Cornish projects hit their target. First to complete was The Art of Surfing who managed to raise £1,567 who were then followed shortly after by Shutterpod who smashed their 1k target, ending on 132%.
On Friday 19 July the StartUp Britain tour bus stopped off in Newquay to offer Cornish entrepreneurs a chance to grab all the tips and advice they need on funding and setting up their new business idea.
Press and Editorial Photography graduate, Kate Wierenga, raises £400 to produce a book that will showcase images from her final year project. Kate’s project Birth Spaces is among a number of great Cornish projects that have launched campaigns as part of our latest campaign Crowdfund Cornwall.
